Abstract
The article provides a theoretical analysis of the category «safety culture». The author notes that this category has entered the scientific discourse recently and is associated with such concepts as «culture of life safety», «culture of safe behavior» and others derived from the original concepts of «safety» and «culture». Depending on the specifics of the subject field of science, referring to the category of «safety culture», it acquires a different interpretation. In general, the safety culture is understood by the author as a set of values, knowledge, competencies and ways of expedient and rational human activity in the field of security.
