Abstract

Purpose. The article presents studies of 115 electronic records of patients who underwent anti-vasoproliferative therapy. Statistically significant differences between the genders of patients were revealed. Statistical analysis showed a direct relationship (r = 0.54) between the number of injections and the percentage of vascular stenosis in men, as well as high cholesterol in patients of 1st group, which consisted of women. In addition, the number, intervals between injections, frequency of administration and adherence to therapy were studied. Conclusion. AMD is most common among women. The most ideal is to carry out the injection on the day of the consultation in the hospital, after making a decision on the extension of treatment. This practice will increase patients' adherence to treatment. The most effective for both the doctor and the patient with retinal pathology is the use of drugs with prolonged action, more concentrated with the need for fewer injections during the year, which will reduce the waiting time for patients to receive antiangiogenic therapy, will increase the number of treated patients with a decrease in the number of hospitalizations.
