Abstract
Based on the study of mine observations during underground mining of coal seams, the nature of the methane release change parameters into the working face and into the mined-out area of the developed seam during the movement of the face into the previously overworked section of the rock mass was determined. The analysis of the geomechanical situation under the considered conditions has been carried out, which made it possible to explain the observed features of changes in these parameters.
