Abstract

The article contains the assessment results for lands involved in agricultural turnover, by categories of overgrowth with grass and shrub vegetation, separately for each region of the Non– Black Soil Zone of the Russian Federation. A methodology for agroproductive assessment and analysis of the current fertility state of agricultural lands involved in turnover has been suggested. The volumes of lime application, mineral and organic fertilizers allowing to neutralize excessive acidity and to eliminate macro– and microelement deficiency in soils are calculated for each region. The phytosanitary state of arable soils has been assessed and the ecological problems of involving agricultural lands into turnover have been considered.
