Abstract

The results of structural and mechanical tests of carbon fiber plastics made of carbon tape coated with stainless steel on the basis of an epoxy binder are presented. Carbon fiber specimens were made, using the infusion technology with various curing technologies. The finished specimens were kept in a 7% NaCl solution and the interlayer shear strength and microstructure were evaluated. As a result of the conducted study, it was found that the use of the modified vacuum infusion technology ensures the high quality of the carbon fiber plastics.
