Abstract

The article deals with a comparative analysis of professional stress coping strategies used by mature-aged lawyers of a legal sector and those working in private organizations providing services. Situations generating stress in respondents have been organized and prioritized. It is demonstrated that matureaged lawyers of the legal sector mainly use such non-constructive strategies as “avoidance behavior”, “aggression” and “antisocial behavior” to cope with stress. It has been proved that the contradiction between moral and ethic issues and professional achievements in the legal sector is a key factor for fixation of nonconstructive strategies to cope with professional stress in respondents. The ways to deal with the current negative situation are proposed in the article.
