Abstract
This article examines the future of electric grids with a focus on the concepts of smartgrids and microgrids. We analyze modern technologies and trends related to the development of energy networks, and discuss the advantages and challenges facing the introduction of smartgrids and microgrids. This study provides an overview of key aspects of the evolution of electric grids and the importance of moving to more intelligent energy management systems.
