Abstract

The article deals with the problem of reducing the share of small and medium-sized enterprises, and with its number of economic indicators of the country. The factors that hinder their development have investigated and the emphasis placed on the determinants that form the competitive potential of small and medium-sized enterprises. The necessity of applying a systems approach and coordination of actions at all levels of a national small business management have substantiated. The basic growth principles of small business competitiveness in Ukraine are determined with the directions of the general transformation of the national economy are specified.
