Abstract
The agro-industrial sector in Russia today is steadily developing, the purpose of which is to satisfy consumer demand with high-quality products and reduce Russia's dependence on other countries. Despite the effective development of the rural sector, the agro-industrial complex faces a number of problems while maintaining the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex. Sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex is a driver of sustainable development of the agricultural industry of the country, since the state of the economy of the region and the industry as a whole depends on its equilibrium. The relevance of the research topic is due to the presence of problems in rural areas that hinder the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex. The article discusses the directions of sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex of Russia contributing to the development of the agricultural sector and the introduction of innovative technologies, products and methods.
