Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to verify the importance and performance of risk management in sports service through social distancing measures using IPA.<BR> Method: The participants of this study were sports service representatives and management practitioners located in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. Samples were extracted from March 21 to May 17, 2020 using the judgmental sampling method. Since face-to-face contact or group activities were difficult, a total of 270 questionnaires were distributed online. 261 questionnaires were used for actual analysis. In data processing via SPSS version 20.0 for window, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach’α, frequency analysis, and Importance-Performance Analysis were performed.<BR> Results: First,Ⅰquadrant included in non-face-to-face thermal checker, distance between employees and customers, provide information on schedules, provide hand sanitizer, thermometer, face-to-face time, emergency assistance, wash the hands of employees, actively respond to inquiries, and prepare a spare mask. Ⅱ quadrant included in disinfection application, postponement of payment, regular disinfection of gymnasium, disinfection of various fixtures, sports industry subsidy application, rent reduction plan, interior cleanliness, quarantine plan, and quarantine regulations & information. Ⅲquadrant included in communication with customers, entrance & passage cleanliness, refund guidance, and glass barriers during consultation. Ⅳquadrant included in keeping the bathroom clean.<BR> Conclusion: Although the sports service industry is facing considerable management difficulties due to Corona 19, through crisis management analysis, it is possible to confirm the necessary requirements in each area.
