Kimchi is the most traditional side dish, and a staple food for the average Korean table. Cabbage, the primary ingredient for Kimchi, is consequently the most widely consumed vegetable in Korea. The distribution of cabbage in wholesale markets traditionally involved harvesting them from the fields, packaging them in bulk bags, loading them onto general cargo vehicles, and then transporting them to Garak Market. Once there, the cabbages often remained at auction sites for extended periods until they were sold. This led to various issues, such as diminished product value, increased market congestion, distribution delays, and escalating logistical costs.
