Abstract
The purpose of this study was to understand how Taekwondo experts recognize for the future of Taekwondo Poomsae competition, new Poomsae as well as development strategy. The research participants were selected and interviewed among highly educated and experienced Taekwondo Poomsae experts. The study concluded as follows based on those research problems.<BR> First, The competition system showed astonishing growth in a short period of time even though there are some barriers such as unfamiliar rules and vague judgement.<BR> Second, In terms of Poomsae competition classification, authorized Poomsae perceived as the most important fundamental construct among Poomsae competition.<BR> Third, To improve Poomsae competition, it is recommended that extension of performing and recession time for better expression of authorized Poomsae.<BR> Fourth, A desirable direction for future Taekwondo Poomsae should be accompanied by new development of competition, enhancing leader’s qualification and strategical support including budget by government entity.
