Abstract

Modern technologies for storing electricity are a key element for ensuring the reliability and sustainability of energy systems of the future, especially in the context of a growing share of renew-able energy sources (RES). This article discusses the main types of energy storage devices, such as elec-trochemical, mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic systems, their advantages, disadvantages and im-plementation prospects. Particular attention is paid to the development of new materials and technologies to improve the efficiency and economic feasibility of these solutions.
