Abstract

The article used the integrated DALY indicator to model demographic processes at the regional level and assess their impact on the regional economy. In the Tambov region in 2014, the DALY (YLL) per 1000 population was 184.4. There are differences between the male and female populations in the value of the relative losses as a result of premature mortality. So, in 2014, for men, the YLL per 1000 men was 231.8 for women - 143.5 per 1000 women. Among men, the largest share falls on the age of 45-49 years. In women over the age of 70. We analyzed the total demographic losses associated with premature mortality for various reasons in the Tambov region and estimated the economic costs of such losses for the regional economy. It was found that the main causes of death are: diseases of the circulatory system, neoplasms and external causes of death. Traffic injuries and suicide are the most common external causes of death. Losses in monetary terms amounted to 50.8 billion rubles, including 21.6 billion rubles from premature mortality associated with cardiovascular diseases, 12.3 billion rubles from premature mortality associated with malignant neoplasms, 7.1 billion rubles. rubles as a result of premature mortality from external causes. Economic losses from alcohol-related causes of death amounted to 3.3 billion rubles. In conclusion, the possible consequences of negative demographic trends are outlined and recommendations are made to improve the current situation.
