Abstract

The relevance of the research topic is substantiated by the significant role of E. V. Kolobov in creating innovative cultural concept, which is the modern opera house, and, the New Opera Theater in particular, as well as by insufficient knowledge of this phenomenon. The purpose of the study is to determine the specifics of E. V. Kolobov's performance concept through the prism of his aesthetic principles, implemented in the repertoire policy of the New Opera Theater, which he created. In developing the topic, musical-analytical methods, as well as methods of genre analysis were used. A systematic approach provides an analytical description of the aesthetic principles of E. V. Kolobov. The article defines, describes and clearly illustrates the principles of architectonics, conflictuality and cross-cutting action, duality and contamination, which form the basis of the maestro's concept. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that there have been no previous attempts at a holistic academic study of the phenomenon considered in this paper. As a result, it was proved that the work of E. V. Kolobov is an example of a successful combination of conducting and directing functions with the ability to convey the creative thoughts by one's own means, which illustrates the interpretative and conceptually independent essence of the profession.
