The purpose of the study is to suggest a plan to prevent turnover of nursing care workers by revealing the impact of work environment on turnover intention among various variables that affect turnover intention. The subjects of the study are care workers working in elderly care facilities. To collect data, questionnaires were obtained from 280 care workers working in elderly care facilities in North and South Chungcheong Provinces, and descriptive statistics, mean difference, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were conducted. As a result of the study, the variables that influenced the turnover intention of nursing care workers were work-related variables such as wages, break time, number of residents in charge, and work-related diseases, and interpersonal and organizational factors also influenced turnover intention. Based on the research results, it was suggested to establish wage guidelines for nursing care workers, prepare regulations for night rest time and the number of residents in charge, and prepare measures to prevent musculoskeletal diseases.
