Abstract

The article discusses the aspects of the use of DNA markers as a tool for identifying raw materials and food products from aquatic fishing and aquaculture objects, in particular, sturgeon and salmon. It is shown that it is necessary to develop new genomic biotechnologies for clear qualitative and quantitative DNA identification of various fish and seafood species in order to combat illegal fishing and falsification of food products.
