Abstract

The article presents the results of the study of emotional burnout in cadets. The aim of the work was to study the features of the manifestation of the syndrome of "emotional burnout" in cadets and their relationship with socio-demographic characteristics, individual and typological qualities of the individual.A total assessment of the level of the syndrome of "emotional burnout" in 177 future police officers was carried out using the method "Diagnostics of the level of emotional burnout" (V. Boyko), which helped to identify the main symptoms at different stages of the course and levels of the phenomenon being studied. To identify: the leading personality trends, the technique (ITO - definition of individual-typological properties) L. Sobchik was applied; the level of vitality and the effectiveness of overcoming stressful situations - the technique of resilience S. Muddy (adapted by D. Leontiev); differentiation of the state of decline in working capacity - the method of DORS A. Leonova, S. Velichkovsky.According to the results of the study, it was revealed that the syndrome of "emotional burnout" is formed in 13% of the studied cadets, is at the stage of formation in 32,8% of persons, and is absent - in 54,2%. This means that half of the future police officers under investigation have a mechanism for the formation of a burnout phenomenon. The interrelations of the syndrome with socio-demographic characteristics, individual-typological features, the level of stable functional states and indices of viability in cadets have been revealed.Differentiation of the examinees into groups depending on the severity of the burnout syndrome made it possible to establish that cadets with a high level of the syndrome of "emotional burnout" have a decrease in stable functional states, viability, control, lability. There is an increase in the scale of aggravation, anxiety, rigidity, spontaneity, extraversion, caution.Specificity of the activity of a policeman, even with a cadet environment, carries potential risks of the syndrome of "emotional burnout". Among future law enforcers, the dominant phase in the structure of the syndrome of "emotional burnout" is "resistance" and its symptoms. They are expressed in selective communication in interpersonal interaction, the desire for solitude, a simplified approach to the fulfillment of tasks, a decrease in personal resources in the performance of activities.Prospects for further research are seen in the development of psycho-preventive measures for the psychological prevention of the syndrome of "emotional burnout" among cadets in higher educational institutions with specific training conditions for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
