Abstract
The article reveals the instruments of state and regional regulation in a competitive market environment. The subject of the research is the system of state and municipal government, tools and mechanisms for regulating the competitive market environment. The aim of the work is to study the instrumental approach in state and municipal management and regulation by the executive authorities of the market for goods, works, services in a competitive market environment. A comparison of selected indicators of the socio-economic development of the Krasnodar Territory is made, and on the basis of the analysis method, the activities of micro, small and medium-sized businesses in the region are presented and the effectiveness of their activities is assessed. The presented recommendations can be used in the management and regulation of territories in a competitive market environment
