Abstract
The article presents the main results of the analysis of the dynamics of the development of the Russian agro-industrial complex in the context of tightening economic sanctions by unfriendly countries against the Russian Federation, as well as identifies areas for improving the mechanisms of state support for agribusiness aimed at developing this area of economic activity and ensuring food security in Russia. The relevance of the topic of the publication is beyond doubt, since the socio-economic development and effective functioning of the agro-industrial complex determine the ability of the state to provide citizens with high-quality food, solve a number of social and demographic problems, as well as ensure Russia's food security in difficult foreign policy and foreign economic conditions.
