Abstract

Trafficking in persons is a crime against the individual and the state as it affects their security alike, and it is a form of slavery and an extension of slavery practiced by societies since ancient times. For it is a form of violating international family law because it involves distortion of legitimate family practices or their misuse, that this phenomenon is an illegal trade, the commodity in which women or children are mostly traded and has a very dangerous psychological and physical impact, in addition to that trafficking in persons is a crime that transcends borders Nationalism is as dangerous as the arms and drug trade, as its danger can extend to many countries and societies. In addition to the awareness of many countries of the seriousness of this phenomenon and thus addressing it through the issuance of legislation criminalizing this trade, but the phenomenon is widely exacerbated depending on the development that took place in the means of communication and transportation between the various countries of the world, which prompted many of the world’s governments and international organizations to fight it And reduce its negative effects on the peoples of the world, that the phenomenon of trafficking in persons is very dangerous and operations to combat it have multiple dimensions, and this research comes within the attempts made by researchers to introduce the phenomenon of trafficking in persons by shedding light on the political - economic and social dimensions and the statement of the most important international efforts to combat this phenomenon.
