Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the Korean Counselor’s Ethical Sensitivity Scale (K-CESS). To this end, in Study 1, preliminary items were prepared to measure the counselor’s ethical sensitivity based on previous studies, and an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted on 262 counselors. As a result of the EFA, 7 factors and 30 items were derived. In Study 2, to confirm the validity of the factor structure derived from Study 1, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed on 304 counselors. Correlation analysis with related variables was conducted to confirm its convergent and discriminant validity, and criterion-related validity. Based on the results, implications were presented for understanding and using the counselor's ethical sensitivity scale.
