Abstract
This article is devoted to assessing the impact of government support measures on the activities of SMEs. A primary analysis of the regulatory framework for this activity is provided. Indirect and direct methods of financial support are considered. At the same time, the activities of SMEs are considered in conditions of uncertainty caused by external geopolitical factors. The facts confirming the importance of SMEs for the Russian economy, including in the process of overcoming barriers created by external challenges, are presented.
