Abstract
The article examines the practice of unfair attitude of manufacturers of veterinary drugs to safety checks for both target animals and the environment. The reason for the release of unsafe drugs is commercial interest and the «human factor», which consists in a clear weakening of attention to the quality of research and responsibility for the results obtained by many domestic developers. As an example, the veterinary drug «Sex Control spot-on» for the regulation of sexual hunting in cats is considered. The general disadvantages of this dosage form are of particular importance due to its external method of application and a specific composition, including highly active steroid hormones, including skin-resorptive properties, the ingress of which into the external environment is unsafe for all mammals.
