Abstract

The article raises the question of the authorship of the “Notes of S.I. Zeichenstein” (“Autobiography of an Orthodox Jew with the application of Talmudic stories, anecdotes and legends. The manuscript is prepared for publication, notes Rozanov V.V.”). The author answers this question by applying the method of exposing the legend used by the “SMERSH” counterintelligence bodies, and comes to the conclusion that the “Notes” were written on behalf of S.I. Zeichenstein by several persons, and then submitted for editing to V.V. Rozanov.
