Abstract

This bibliographical review is devoted to the problem of diagnostics and treatment of chronic constipation (CC) in children due to the extreme prevalence of this pathology in Russia and abroad. CC is a serious problem at any age due to the risk of complications and high recurrence rate. It is emphasized that the success of treatment is predetermined by the quality of assistance to children suffering from CC of both functional and organic geneses.
