Abstract

The study provides an overview of some semantic aspects in the functioning of the class of predicatives in the context of problems of general phraseology. The paper considers the mechanisms of the formation of predicative semantics and lexicalization of predicatives in the context of phraseologization of word forms and individual meanings. Phraseologization of predicative word usage is described in the work as a set of phenomena of a semantic, semantic-structural and syntactic nature. The paper considers the role of in-terpretive increments, metaphoric and metonymic transference, structural variation, determinants of vari-ous types, as well as some types of syntactic modifications in the analyzed language process. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the formation of a systematic approach to solving the problem of the semantic-grammatical status of the predicative as a class of words in the context of the processes of interlevel inter-action in language. As a result of the study, models of lexicalization/pragmatization of predicative use are described. These models are considered both in the context of rules on the semantic-phraseological level and as a syncretic linguistic phenomenon affecting the areas of word formation, morphology and syntax.
