Abstract

Recently, tourist demand for Korean traditional old houses has been steadily increasing, and various forms of cultural contents have been attempted in those houses. This study presents cultural contents based on life-long story of Seogye and historical resources in Seokcheon-dong, which is called Jangam-dong recently, Ujeongbu. Seogye is a representative scholar of the late Chosun Dynasty. He attempted to interpret Confucian doctrines independently and wrote books on farming methods. Exemplary contents provided in the present study were a trail containing Seogyes’thoughts and behaviors, humanities and arts performance focused on his life, traditional liquor making experience, refreshment at an old house, and a scholar-experience program at Nogangseowon to honor his son Park Tae-bo who risked his life for his own beliefs.
