Abstract

In order to establish an efficient collection plan for waste furniture as bulky waste, basic data such as moving distance of the collection truck, efficiency according to the type of truck, and collection amount per person, etc., are required. In Iksan City, one person discharged 20.8 kg of waste furniture during the year in 2019. The daily moving distance of collection truck was twice as long in rural areas as in downtown areas, while the amount of collection was twice as large in downtown areas. The amount of collection was twice as much for the tongs truck during the same working time as the general truck. When collecting wasted furniture in its original shape, trucks were move more than once a day than when collected after dismantling at the discharge site. However, in both cases, the total daily collection amount was similar. Unauthorized discharge of waste furniture in Iksan city was 3,288.3 tons/year in 2020, 36.4 % of the total amount generated.
