Abstract

The study reveals the essence and content of expert thinking, its development mechanism and place in the subject and professional genesis of the crime scene technician. In addition, the paper substantiates the need to develop and apply the new modern approaches to dealing with the problem of expert thinking. This process requires the theoretical rethinking and practical reassessment of the methods that affect the professional level of the above-mentioned expert. Moreover, the author presents a model of the genesis of expert thinking in the professional genesis of the crime scene technician of internal affairs bodies. The model reflects the stages of professional development of an expert’s personality through the professional and subject genesis that helps develop expert thinking. This process cannot take place outside expert and legal activity. Such an activity creates a favorable environment for the improvement of expert thinking.
