Abstract

Mathematical dependences for calculating the distance between the cutting grains of the fl ap wheel are given. Numerical simulation of the temperature fi eld that occurs in the process of grinding workpieces with fl ap wheels of workpieces made of alloy D16 has been performed. The temperature fi eld was fi xed by changing the number of successively working abrasive grains and by varying the distance between the grains. Regularities have been established for changing the power of heat sources, local emperatures and temperatures in the surface layer of the workpiece, depending on the number of consecutively working grains and the distance between abrasive grains.
