Abstract

This paper describes a track fusion algorithm of the weapon system to improve track accuracy. The weapon system acquires a variety of track information through multiple sensors and tactical data links. When a number of track information exists for a single target, we fuse track information from the track management of the weapon system to generate a single track information. In the weapon system, a technique for fusing track detected by sensors with track received via tactical data links is called a correlation and generates tactical tracks through correlation steps in the track management. The accuracy of tactical tracks is influenced by the accuracy of tracks received through sensors and tactical data links, and by track fusion algorithm. In the paper, we present a track fusion algorithm of weapon systems to improve the accuracy of tactical tracks and demonstrated the superiority of the proposed track fusion algorithm by comparing the proposed track fusion algorithm with the existing correlation algorithm
