Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of forming the physical fitness of university students. It was determined that in the process of professional training, physical education of students occupies an important place. It was found out that it is health care systems that can improve the health of student youth, ensure a sufficient level of physical development and an active lifestyle. We have proposed a method of conducting health fitness classes for students. It was built on the main provisions of the general program on physical education for institutions of higher education, where it is determined that among the main tasks of physical education of students is the formation in them of the need to engage in physical exercises, strengthen the state of personal health, develop movement qualities, master the system of practical skills and skills in the main types of physical exercises aimed at harmonious physical development. The exercises were selected with the aim of affecting the functional systems of the body, correcting the figure, relieving fatigue and nervous tension, as well as having an emotional effect on the body. The advantage of the program was its ability to simultaneously develop all the physical qualities necessary to improve work capacity and the level of personal health. The rational use of available and effective fitness equipment during academic classes on physical education with students of medical institutions of higher education will contribute to strengthening personal health, increasing adaptability and work capacity, correcting the body structure, as well as training harmoniously developed highly qualified specialists taking into account specific requirements for their professional psychophysical competence. The complex for improving health and physical development of students was developed based on the provisions of the theory of improving physical culture. Health fitness classes were organized in accordance with generally accepted methodical principles based on psychological, pedagogical, structural laws, as well as the laws of the formation of motor actions.
