Abstract
The article deals with the linguistic aspect of the synchronous interpreter’s activity. The lexical difficulties arising in the process of synchronous interpretation are listed. The author analyses the main reasons for the loss of information in the text of interpretation conditioned by rendering colloquial expressions, terminological units, dialectal vocabulary and words-realias. The analysis of typical errors in the synchronous interpretation of the media discourse texts from Spanish into Russian is carried out and the ways of preserving the stylistic equivalence of the source and the target texts are suggested.
