Abstract
이 논문은 통일국가시대 국어과 교재로 활용 가능한 아동문학 제재로서 우리나라 최초로 일제강점기에 정착 발간된 전래동화집 속의 이야기의 의미를 탐색하였다. 일제강점기에 발간된 네 권의 전래동화집에 수록된 228편의 각편을 탐색하여 대표적 14가지 유형에 대하여 내용 및 문체적 특성과 통일국가시대 아동문학 제재로서의 특성을 살펴보았다. 형제 이야기, 혹과 도깨비 방망이 이야기, 선녀와 나무꾼 이야기, 계모와 의붓딸 이야기, 아들 이야기, 지혜 다툼 이야기, 은혜 갚은 까치 이야기, 호랑이 이야기, 바보이야기, 재판 이야기, 우정 이야기, 토끼전 이야기, 교만한 부자의 몰락 이야기, 거짓말 이야기 유형별로 하위 각편을 살펴 그 특징과 통일국가시대 제재로서 가능성을 탐색하였다.
