Abstract

This analytical review is aimed at investigating the state of the aluminum industry and approaches to automation of aluminum production. An analysis of the principles of modeling such systems and developing control algorithms is carried out. An important part of the review is devoted to the study of existing publications in the field of modeling and development of control systems for the aluminum production process. Extraction of aluminum by electrolysis remains a complex and multifaceted process, which requires new modeling approaches. The latter represents a promising development direction in this field. This work was carried out as part of the Philosophy of Science educational program.
