Abstract
The purpose of this study was conducted to test mediating effects of grit in the relationship between smartphone overdependence and aggression in adolescents. The data of 2,275 in the Year 4 of the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018 were analyzed. The analyzed data was subjected to technical statistical analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis using the SPSS 25.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, smartphone overdependence and Aggression showed a positive correlation, grit and Aggression showed a negative correlation. These results discussed practical interventions in the development of educational programs and promotion activities that Considering grit, can be mediated by trigger and protect factors to lower overuse of smartphone overdependence and level of aggression.
