Abstract
The article substantiates the relevance of theoretical studies of partial discharge currents. Electromagnetic processes occurring on the surface of a suspended insulator are considered. The design of a poppet suspension insulator is given. The physical process of the pulse current occurrence is described. A replacement scheme of partial discharge current flow on the surface of a suspended insulator has been developed
