Abstract

The financing issues of political parties consider to be significant when determining their legal status and political role in a state. Due to the fact that a political party is the key political player, its funding issues de facto determine the financing of the politi-cal processes of the state. The research examines the laws and regulations related to the financial support for political parties of the Republic of Geor-gia. The author concludes that the state has proper control over the financial arrangements of party ac-tivities (both on the part of state authorities and with the assistance of specialized auditors). But at that point, a private-public funding system provides political and financial independence of political par-ties, which, in turn, ensures the proper enforcement of the political rights of citizens.
