Abstract

The aim is to demonstrate the case of diagnosis of aortic coarctation during pregnancy, the complexity of choosing therapy tactics, the possibilities of telemedicine and percutaneous angioplasty with stenting. The frequency of arterial hypertension among pregnant women in the Russian Federation is 5–30%. According to the Russian Ministry of Health, over the past decade, hypertensive complications during pregnancy occupy the 4th place in the list of causes of maternal mortality. This, in turn, makes us very wary of hypertension during pregnancy and resort to immediate treatment. In the case of aortic coarctation, any careless administration of antihypertensive therapy can lead to the development of complications in the fetus and its death. However, with proper interdisciplinary management, most cases of adverse outcomes are preventable.
