Abstract

The expansion of digitalization affects all sectors of the country’s economy, including construction. The devel-opment of the digital economy in the country is evidenced by the growth of domestic spending on it from all sources. Based on the results of the analysis of statistical data, the authors came to the conclusion that the con-struction industry is inferior in many indicators of the use of information technology compared to other indus-tries. The constraining factors for the development of digitalization in construction are highlighted. Promising areas of application of information and communication technologies have been identified, which will have a positive impact on the competitiveness of this industry. It was noted that the introduction of new digital tools in the construction sector should be aimed at the interaction of the home buyer and the developer at the design and operation stages, which will have a positive effect on the result of the final product. The results of the study can be taken into account when developing strategies for the development of construction companies and the industry market.
