Abstract

Objectives This study aimed to figure out latent classes of adverse childhood experiences and differences of chil-dren’s self-esteem, GRIT and relation with teacher by the latent classes.
 Methods The subjects were 1246 children and their parents who participated in the 1st to 13th years of PSKC. The data were analyzed using LCA.
 Results The results showed that three different latent classes were found. Each class was named as low experi-ence group, family adverse experience group and peer violence experience group. Also, there were significant dif-ferences in self-esteem, GRIT and relataion with teacher. Low experience group showed the highest score of self-esteem, peer violence experience group had lowest score of GRIT, and family adverse experience group showed lowest score relation with teacher.
 Conclusions Our study classified latent classes of adverse childhood experiences and suggested implication for the intervention to get better adaptation for who experienced adversity in childhood.
