Abstract

The article discusses the current state of the market, the problems faced by borrowers and credit institutions, as well as trends in the development of this sector. The author refers to the problems in the mortgage market: high interest rate on mortgage loans, lack of affordable housing on the market, high down payments, lack of a unified credit history system and lack of high-quality information about borrowers, low income and high inflation. The paper makes recommendations for improving mortgage lending in Russia, including measures aimed at reducing interest rates, simplifying the procedure for obtaining a loan and increasing the availability of mortgage lending for various categories of borrowers.
