Abstract

It’s known that the efficient operation of electrical appliances used in production significantly improves the quality and quantity of products. Competent control of technological processes is especially important for such a heavy industry as metallurgical production, where one of the most important issues is the optimal control system for electric motors of moving electrodes, which in turn ensures the required dynamics of arc power control and high productivity. The existing arc power control systems do not fully meet the basic requirements, such as insufficient sensitivity of the regulating parameter, speed and reliability of the electrode movement motor control system. The study of electric motor control systems is an important scientific and technical task in this regard. The optimization of the electric motor control system for moving the electrodes of an electric arc furnace based on the use of logic in control is discussed.
