Abstract

A sharp increase in food prices has recently sharpened scientific and practical interest in their regulation. The mechanisms used by the Government of the Russian Federation to contain them did not bring the expected result. The rise in food prices has outpaced the inflation rate. The purpose of the work is a theoretical analysis of pricing in the main links of the food chain. The key task is to clarify the competitive conditions in which each of them operates, which determines a set of pricing regulation measures. The article substantiates the basic elements of regulatory mechanisms in relation to the main participants in the food creation process, the use of which allows for expanded reproduction and lower prices for final products. A method of calculating the dynamic cost is proposed. The influence of price imbalances not only on the economy, but also environmental consequences is considered.
