Abstract

Purpose : The purpose of this study aimed to explore 1) the relationships between authentic leadership, relational energy and task performance 2) the relationship between relational energy and task performance 3) the mediating effect of job burnout. Research design, data, methodology : Online questionnaires were conducted for airline flight attendants’, and 210 total valid samples were used for analysis. For the empirical analysis, simple, multiple, hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. Results : The results of the study are as follows; First, the results of this study shows that authentic leadership has a positive effect on the relational energy and task performance. Second, relational energy has a positive effect on the task performance. Third, it has been found that the mediating effect of relational energy. Conclusions : The ultimate results of this study bring up the new direction in ways the human resource management and the organization management in convention industry which emphasizes the importance of uthentic leadership, relational energy and task performance.
