Abstract

Efficient transport and logistics systems create opportunities and benefits for economic and social development, which is reflected in such positive multiplier effects as increased access to markets, education, employment and additional investment. The study aimed to analyse Georgia's transit potential, opportunities, existing problems, challenges and prospects. The research revealed that developing regional tariff policies in cooperation and coordination with strategically essential countries is crucial for Georgia. Accordingly, the legislative framework should be harmonised. This will simplify the management of operations and, at the same time, effectively present Georgia's transit potential. The complex recommendations developed within the article significantly represent the transport potential of the country and its attractiveness.
