Abstract

Shurinova N.S. (Southern Federal University, Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation) The article considers the possibility of distinct typology of theoretical approaches to autobiography represented in key works of national and foreign scientists. In particular, we are interested in the degree of formation of specific methodological associations, allowing to substantiate the autobiographical work of contemporary researchers in the works of certain authors. To highlight this issue, we have carried out a meta study, referring to the works of scholars such as G. Misch, S. A. de Saint-Beuve, J. Gyusdorf, J. Poole, G. Olney, Jean-Paul Sartre, M.M. Bakhtin, P. de Man, M. Bojur, F. Lejeune. At the end of the article, we conclude that a typology of approaches to autobiographical is possible only as conditional, it does not cover the whole variety of theoretical concepts in view of the existence of echoes between them, the need for a separate allocation of specific theories dealing with autobiographical, and interdisciplinary studies. In addition, this work considers a basic problem of theoretical research: the figure of the author’s biographical and autobiographical nature of narrative texts aggravate disputes between supporters of fiction of such works and supporters of the presence in them of the author’s subjectivity. Key words : autobiography, autobiographism, typology, theoretical approaches. DOI: 10.18522/1995-0640-2015-4-51-57
