Abstract
The article is devoted to the blessed memory of Dashinima Sanzhievich Duga-rov, Sc.D. in History, professor, chief of the department of ethnology and folklore. Being a prominent scientist-ethnographer, he was engaged in the sci-entific and pedagogical activities, supported talented and purposeful students. Having been born in the ordinary peasant family, he devoted all his life to the people, keeping his faith to the ethno-cultural heritage till the end of his days. His research became fundamental not only in the national, but also in the world science.
