Abstract
This article examines the concept of entrepreneurship from the point of view of various scientists. The main historical stages of its development in Russia are highlighted. The main problems facing small and medium-sized businesses at present are touched upon: the impact of the pandemic, the conduct of a special military operation, tightened sanctions, lost connections with foreign partners.
